Sri Vaishnava Basics - Guru Paramparai

Let me park this topic for now and switch to understanding the basics of another topic called Guru Paramparai. 1. The word "Paramparai" refers to the ancestry. In our regular practice we normally address the family tree as the ancestry, ie the hierarchy of parents-child relationship. In Guru Paraparai we go by the hierarchy of teachers (Acharyans) from whom we get the Samasrayanam where we get to know the secret of getting salvation.. The one who enlighten us with that secret mantra is our Acharyan or Guru. 2. Acharya or Guru Paramparai refers to the hierarchy of Acharyans from whom one gets the knowledge.
